Assassinated by the mouth

Our topic this week is what I call “Assassinated by the mouth.” This means that a person’s mouth could lead the person to death. I Corinthians 10:14 – 21: “Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry. (Meaning that you must avoid putting anything before God). I speak as to wise men; (I am appealing to good sense. I am speaking to you because I assume that you are sensible.) Judge ye what I say. (See whether what I am about to say is true). The cup of blessing which we bless, (that is the cup of wine at the Lord’s table used for communion) is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? (Is the drink which we share together not a sign of the blood of Jesus?) The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? (Is the loaf which we share together not a sign of the body of Christ?) For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? (When an animal is dragged away from the altar, slaughtered and shared, immediately you eat out of it, you have formed a covenant with the god to whom that altar was raised because the animal came from the altar). What say I then? That the idol is anything, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is anything? But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, (that is the sacrifice of pagans) they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: (because a once and for all sacrifice had been made which is Christ Jesus) and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot  drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.”

            It is not possible for you to have half dove which is a symbol of the Holy Spirit and half bat which is a symbol of evil spirits. No. God will remove the half Holy Spirit and give you full bat, because it is written that we should either be hot or cold. God does not want us in the middle. He hates people sitting on the fence. If you want to be bad, be bad, and if you want to be good, be good so that it will be clear where you belong. That is what the Bible is making us to understand. Verses 22 –23: “Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he? All things are lawful for me, (that is everything is permissible for people), but all things are not expedient: (But all things are not helpful. If you ignorantly drink a poisonous substance, your ignorance will not help you. The substance will still harm you.) all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.” (You may do all things as you like but not all things help in edifying other people. Some people are led astray by other people’s behaviour).

            The fall of man in the Garden of Eden was accomplished through the mouth gate.  A lot of us would have done so well if we had firm control over our mouths. The mouth was the cause of the fall of our fore-fathers and up till today, food is till a serious root of spiritual contamination and sickness. For example, it is very bad to eat in the dream because powers of darkness use that means to plant sicknesses into people’s lives, and weaken them spiritually.

            God in His infinite wisdom banned certain things from being eating. Leviticus 3:17: “It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.

            Jacob and his household went down to Egypt because of food, and entered into bondage that lasted for 430 years. Esau sold his birthright because of food. The young prophet from Judah whom God told to prophesy unto the altar, got into trouble when he accepted food from an older prophet despite God’s warning that he should not talk to anybody or eat anything on the way.  

            A lot of terrible disasters have happened through the mouth-gate. I know a brother who got a gift of a bottle of wine from somebody close to him. He kept it somewhere and did not drink it because it was alcoholic. A week later, a small plant with fresh leaves had started sprouting inside the bottle. If he had drunk it, that plant would have started growing in his stomach. There is no X-ray machine that would have been able to detect that kind of thing.

            I know a fellow who was given a piece of kola nut. Luckily for him, he did not eat it. By the time he went back to where he kept it, he found a human finger instead of the kola nut. If he had eaten it, the finger would have been moving around in his body. I have seen people vomiting pins, needles, cowries, small calabashes, etc. Many of these people went through x-ray and scanning machines but these equipment could not detect these evil materials.

            Close your eyes and pray like this: Every evil thing that entered into my life through my mouth, vanish by fire, in the name of Jesus.

            Hosea 4:6: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...” Some people prefer soft drinks to fresh fruits not knowing that the contents of the soft drinks are not good for their health. Many of these soft drinks contain a lot of sugar.

            At some parties which can be classified as demonic, polluted foods are distributed to people and they ignorantly eat them. Some people cook food and distribute it without telling people what they are celebrating. Sometimes, you see a fellow who is 60 years old saying he is 40 and he distributes food to people to celebrate the 40th birthday. There are people who consume cooked  animals used for sacrifices. Some have eaten evil eggs and drunk a lot of evil concoctions. Many people have got into trouble after eating bean cakes (akara) or dough nuts given to them by people who celebrated the 40th day anniversary of their late relatives. There are people who collect holy water and holy oil from satanic churches and after drinking them, got into trouble.

            The black man has a lot of cleverly hidden bondage. The open ones can be avoided sometimes. Sometime ago, a man came to me and said, “Sorry pastor, whether the Bible agrees with it or not, I must divorce my wife.” I asked him why. He replied that she brought a coffin with a pot inside to their bedroom which was a charm for making money. That is an example of an open or loud bondage. Even some decent unbelievers will not go into such. But there are some silent bondage which many walk into with their eyes open. For example, in many towns now, there are town festivals, new yam festivals, masquerade festivals, etc. During these festivals, satanic negotiations with the powers of darkness are made on behalf of the people. During the Christmas season, some people run back home to renew such covenants. 

            All these ceremonies look unharmful but they are highly demonic because before they take place, the priest of the village would have gone to his shrines for months to stand in the gap for the whole community. This is how community bondage is renewed, serviced, maintained and activated. It is a strong but silent bondage. Many Nigerians are into these kinds of bondage.

            Many children are initiated on their eighth day during their naming ceremonies when they are given all kinds of concoctions to drink. In some places, babies are left in the river for days, before they are given names. Many are given incisions and tatoos on their bodies. These are spiritual marks through which evil spirits are able to identify those dedicated to them. If you have such marks on your body, you need to go for deliverance. Children of God are supposed to have only the mark of the Lord Jesus on their bodies. Galatians 6:17: “From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus.”       Sometimes when you pray for people who have evil marks on their bodies, strange voices would be speaking from them asking you to leave them alone that they belong to them. Just as the angel of death passed over the children of Israel who had the mark of the blood in Egypt, so also demons recognise those who bear their marks.

            The devil, as you know, is bad.  There is nothing good about him. The Bible tells us that he has come to steal, to kill, and to destroy. In fact, serving the devil is a tragedy because at the end of the day, you end up in hell fire. All the maintenance of contaminated names and titles are silent bondage. That is why some serious Christians always consult God before they name their children. But in our environment, some families, villages, or towns have names that are unique to them. They are usually terrible names.

            A friend of mine told me a story about a place called Orita-mefa in one of the cities in Nigeria. Orita-mefa means the meeting of six altars. Beside this Orita-mefa is one of the biggest hospitals in the country. Sometime ago, it was noticed that people were dying mysteriously at this hospital, so some prayer warriors of a church close by had to be going to the  Orita-mefa to pray. During this time, a Christian doctor in that hospital did  surgical operations on some people and a week after, he fell seriously ill. He was admitted at the same hospital and was being treated for malaria. Then a day before he was to be discharged, around 1.00 am, he saw the door to his ward opened while no one touched it and a skeleton moved in and walked towards him. Since he was just recovering from malaria, he had no power to pray hard. But as the skeleton almost got to him, he started to speak in tongues and discovered that his speaking in tongues slowed the skeleton down. Then as he spoke louder, the skeleton turned back and went out of the hospital. Then he now understood what was killing other patients. He made sure he was discharged that morning. All these things are silent bondage that we need to stand against.

            There is also a place called Orogun which means rivalry. Christians who moved into that area suddenly discovered that the anointing to marry many wives was coming upon them. They had to run away from that environment. At this junction, I would like you to pray like this: Every silent bondage working against my life, break, in the name of Jesus.

            Many states and towns in Nigeria are named after rivers and they are the source of some of the silent bondage we are talking about.

            There is another kind of bondage which most Nigerians are into. It is the bondage of kola nut. One way or the other, we all have something to do with kola nut. Secretly and quietly, the enemy has used this seed to cage the black man. But there shall be deliverance today, in the name of Jesus.

What is kola nut?

            Kola nut is a seed found in many parts of the world. It is used to make drinks and medicines. It contains something called caffeine, which is a stimulant. When you have a lot of caffeine in your system, you would not be able to sleep and you may have headache. Pregnant women are advised to keep away from caffeine because it is capable of deforming their unborn babies in the womb. It is also found in coffee and tea.

            For some strange reasons, the devil has captured this seed and has used it to cause a silent destruction of lives and destinies. It is spiritually unsafe for you to just pick up kolanut in the open market and begin to eat it. The Holy Spirit has asked me to warn you if you are in the habit of doing this. Locally, kola nuts are used as a means of divination by herbalists and witch doctors. Some cast them, while some break them or offer them. The kola nut, libation and sacrifice offered, form an evil trinity. If kola nut has been used to prophesy a course of action for you, you need to pray. It is an instrument of diversion. It is also a constant part of sacrifices offered to demons. In fact, it will be right to call it the snacks of satan in our environment. Demonic elders place it on people’s heads when they pray for them. If you have been prayed for like that you really need to pray because it is a covenant material, a means of substitution and a means of making appeal to wicked spirits. It is also used to issue curses on people.

            There are many other materials that are used but kola nut is number one. These other materials include eko or ogi (corn meal) coconut, sugar-cane, hens, cocks, ducks, pigeons, she-goats,  he-goats, sheep, ram, gin, cold water, palm-wine, palm-oil, pieces of cloth, dogs, egusi-soup, etc. These are serious matters which we must tackled.

            If you want to deal with an enemy you must understand his mode of operation. The Bible says: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” The agents of satan understand these things very well and use them negatively to harm unsuspecting people.

            In those days when people did not understand the operations of the agents of satan much, innocent children, especially in Sunday schools, were often invited by demonic agents to eat food used for sacrifice. The ignorant Sunday school teacher would then say to the children: “You can go, but make sure you come back.” The children would rush to the place and collect all kinds of food items. They did not know that they were being caged silently. Sometime ago, a man came for deliverance and said something strange. He said he belonged to a satanic cult before he gave his life to Christ. He said while he was still there, whenever they saw a child that was very brilliant and wanted to remove his virtues and transfer them to another child, they would call this kind of demonic party, hoping that the bright child would come. Immediately, the bright child ate the food, his brain would be transferred to another child and then the child who was formerly bright would become dull.

            Beloved, the kola nut spirit has affected many lives. The devil makes people to get addicted to this crop in order to ensure that the evil covenants formed with them or on their behalf are maintained. They also use it to ensure that people feed regularly at the table of the devil. All those who have offered kola nut as sacrifice, or have used it for divination or have broken it for ceremonies, really need to pray because it invites terrible ancestral spirits to operate in peoples’ lives. It is a material of spiritual gambling. If you buy it from the open market, the prayer of: “O Lord, bless this kola nut for Christ’s sake,” will not work.

            When you break kola nut and give it to people to eat, you form some covenants. Those who eat kola nut anyhow and anywhere, usually have terrible dreams. For example, they see masquerades or animals pursuing them or dead relatives. They see themselves carrying calabashes or holding the local white chalk, coins, cowries or pepper. They see themselves urinating all over the place, fowls picking coins in front of them, or goats eating things in front of them. These are the activities of witches who are trying to steal their blessings. They find themselves dancing in unknown groups or getting married to strange people. They also find birds flying around them or snails or tortoises moving around them. A person who has kola nut spirit may all of a sudden find that his or her palms are itching. As a Christian, it is better to avoid this crop.

HOW TO BREAK FREE FROM KOLA NUT BONDAGE

1. Avoid it completely. But if you must eat it, plant one yourself at the back of your house. Be pleading the blood of Jesus on it when it starts growing. Know that nutritionally, you don’t gain anything from it. And you may be sharing from the snack of satan.

2. Renounce any known and unknown covenant you have formed with it and reclaim all the benefits that have been stolen from you as a result of the evil covenants.

            Beloved, even if you were eating proper food, make sure you pray on them because the days are evil. One of our pastors abroad told us that in his locality, all the meat-sellers were unbelievers and they dedicated their meat to a demon before they started selling. So technically, they have taken over that place and the wealth of that place flowed into their pockets. The inhabitants of the place are getting poorer while the meat sellers are getting richer.

            Beloved, ignorance has stolen many things from us. Do not joke with the following prayer points.

PRAYER POINTS

1.   I command my stomach to reject every evil food, in the name of Jesus.

2.   Anything that I have eaten from the table of satan, come out now, in the name of Jesus.

3.   Every kola nut spirit, I bind and cast you out, in the name of Jesus.

4.   (Lay your hands on your head as you pray this:) Every cage working against my family, break by fire, in the name of Jesus.

5.   You my destiny, move forward by fire, in the name of Jesus.

6.   Every family pollution, vanish by the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

7.   I trample upon every tragedy programmed into this year by fire, in the name of Jesus.

8.   My hands must prosper by fire, in the name of Jesus.

9.   Tragedy will not befall me, in the name of Jesus.

10.       Any gathering summoned for my destruction, Oh God, arise and scatter them, in the name of Jesus.

11. I bind the spirit of the snail, I cast it out of my business, my carrier and my academics, in the name of Jesus.

12.       Every evil pretender, be exposed and be disgraced, in the name of Jesus.

13.       O Lord, give me a miracle by fire, in the name of Jesus.

14.       Thank you Lord, in Jesus’ name.
